Hello Falcons!!
We are into week 5 of our summer break, which kicked off our Fontana summer school program. The school has been busy this summer with our daycare, Big Foot Rec. summer camp, and now our summer school is underway! Here are FIVE things to know this week:
- Our online registration will officially open this coming Monday, July 11th. On the main website there is a "online registration" link that will take you to our online portal, along with directions on how to register. Link HERE. Remember, existing students are 5k and older that were in Fontana Joint 8 School District last year. All 4k students and anyone new to Fontana will need to use the "new student" link. Mrs. Long (clong@fontana.k12.wi.us) and Mrs. Ziganto (sziganto@fontana.k12.wi.us) are your help line for registration if needed.
- Did you know we have a Family Resource link on our website. HERE is the link, which now includes the 22/23 school year supply lists.
- Attention all interested incoming 6-8th grade students. Mr. Hoey is looking to start some open gym times for those interested in playing some hoops this summer. Please email ahoey@fontana.k12.wi.us if interested. He is looking to do one day/week for an hour or two for those interested in getting in some fun basketball time in the summer.
- Our summer school kicked off with a successful first week! Our classrooms were buzzing again with engaging activities, fun, and extended learning outside.
- Our facilities continue to be updated over the summer. We have new flooring in many classrooms and our South playground is getting some extra surfacing done for the daycare children. Be on the lookout as we are hoping to fix/improve some of our aging cracks in the front walkway yet this summer.
Don't forget to register and get your Falcon set up for the new school year. Our first day of school for the 22/23 school year in Tuesday, September 6th. Have a great week!
