Hello Falcons!!
Week 14 was fun and adventurous as our middle school science students presented the beginning our our science fair season to the elementary students (photo included). Our middle school science students also took advantage of the nice weather and had class by the beach/lake. We are beyond fortunate to have innovative teaching staff with a school next to a beautiful lake. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
- In case you haven't seen, our music/choir/band concert has been moved to Wednesday December 15th. The location and time remain the same (Big Foot auditorium with 4k-3rd grade music starting at 6pm and 4-8th grade choir/band starting at 7pm).
- Our winter break will be starting one day earlier to provide more family time for our students and staff. Thanks to our school board, it was decided to have our last attendance day of 2021 as Tuesday, December 21st. Wednesday, December 22nd is now a non-attendance day for all staff and students.
- We are in search of volunteers for our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. Please contact Mrs. Gutierrez with questions/interest (aguiterrez@fontana.k12.wi.us).
- Our school social worker has a newsletter, which is included HERE. Fontana offers comprehensive wellness and social/emotional support for all families. Please contact Nikki Christensen, our school social worker, for more information and to get started on your wellness plan (nchristensen@fontana.k12.wi.us)!
- Our annual vision screening for all Falcon students will take place on December 8th. Our health office, in partnership with the Lions Club, will provide a vision screening for all students on Wednesday December 8th. Please contact our district nurse, Julie Lohse, with any questions (jlohse@fontana.k12.wi.us).
Our elementary trimester has come to an end this week and we look forward to finishing 2021 strong!! Be well, stay safe, and enjoy your weekend Falcons!
