Hello Falcons!!
We welcomed our new school year with a red carpet, optimism, teamwork, and classrooms full of learning! Thank you to our school board, community, parents, students, and staff for making our return to school so positive. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
- We will not have school on Monday, September 6, and our next day with students is Tuesday September 7th. This includes our daycare and school.
- Don't forget to download our updated Fontana App. HERE is a video explaining the app as we continue expanding and improving our communication.
- We want to be vigilant and work together with our entire school community to be safe during this time. Please be sure to screen your family prior to coming to school for any health concerns. We have a brief health screening tool HERE. Please error on the side of safety and remain home if you are unsure of your exposure or symptoms related to COVID.
- Our Falcon Picture Day is Tuesday September 14th. There will be forms going home closer to the date, but we wanted to inform all families of the date.
- We are excited to announce Fontana School was awarded a $75,000 School Based Mental Health Grant. We will be working with different community partners to provide wellness programming for our staff, students, and parents. More to come!
We are so excited to start our new school year. Flag Football and Cross Country will be starting very soon and we will be offering many more extra curricular activities this school year. There are many layers of our COVID protocols this school year and it will take our entire community working together to remain safe and healthy this year! Be well Falcons and Have a great holiday weekend!
