Hello Falcons!
Week 34 was graced with the adventures of Outdoor Education for our 6th graders. Parents and family members were met with skits and fun Thursday evening along the lake at Conference Point Center. The learning, fun, and adventure is second-to-none! We stand on the shoulders of the pioneers of Outdoor Education, 60 years in the making, and we can't wait for 60 more years of tradition. Here are FIVE things to know this week.
- Our Fine Arts Night will be Thursday May 20th from 5:30p to 6:30p. We will celebrate the Fontana arts program along with our 8th grader brag boards before they move on to high school. We will have a directional map for social distancing and masks are still required while inside the school. We can't wait to see you there.
- Looking ahead, our online registration for the 21/22 school year will be open starting July 12th and going through July 23rd. More information coming. Please contact our office with any questions.
- Our third and final testing window will begin on May 17th for MAP (Measure of Academic Progress). This standardized test is given three times per year to measure growth for grades 2-8. Our 4k will be completing PALS testing and 5k-1st grade complete Aimsweb benchmarks. Our staff uses this data to ensure teaching, learning, and student growth are meeting our instructional goals.
- Staff Appreciation week will take place the week of May 10th at Fontana. Our PTSO and community have planned a wonderful week to celebrate the incredible staff at Fontana. We are so fortunate to have exceptional staff, families, and overall learning community that recognizes the amazing work all educators do each/every day. THANK YOU!!
- GET YOUR FONTANA GEAR! We will be having one last "spirit wear" sale to show off your Fontana spirit. The link is included HERE. All sales will be labeled and delivered to the school for your convenience. https://www.bsnteamsports.com/...
Happy May everyone! We are excited to send off our 8th graders in three short weeks to greater things ahead in high school and beyond! Enjoy your weekend and see you Monday. Be well and stay safe Falcons!
