Update

Hello Falcons!

During the past week we saw our weather change from frigid cold to early signs of spring in our future.  25 weeks into school and March is on the horizon.  This will bring about spring break, outdoor activities, and of course, spring in the midwest wouldn't be complete without muddy conditions.  Always remember to dress your Falcon for any outdoor conditions as we go outside whenever possible.  Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Reminder---March 1st will now be an attendance day for all students (former staff inservice/snow make-up day) and Friday March 5th will be a staff inservice day (non-attendance day for students).  Additionally, March 19th will be a full-day of school (formerly a half-day) and March 26th will be a half-day (formerly a full-day).  This will provide our staff the opportunity to get vaccinations without missing any in person learning time.  Please contact our office with any questions.
  2. Our staff have worked tirelessly to get grades and reports completed for the second quarter.  All grades are available electronically on Infinite Campus or you can contact our office for a paper copy.  Additionally, in lieu of conferences, our staff have been reaching out and contacting families to ensure each student is reaching their potential.  If you have not heard from your teacher and/or you would like more personalized information we are here to make that happen.
  3. Looking ahead, our spring break will start at 11:20a on Friday March 26th and all students return to learning on Tuesday April 6th.  If you are looking for more dates and district events, you can visit our website calendar link HERE.
  4. Our school board and superintendent have initiated a Strategic Goals and Planning process for our district.  This will engage all stakeholders in our community to set a vision/goals for our district.  This exciting process will kick off this coming week.  If you are interested in being a part of this process as a parent/community stakeholder, please contact Steve Torrez at storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us
  5. We continue to have zero confirmed COVID cases in our school district.  This is a true team effort that must find us continuing to be vigilant and mindful of our safety protocol.  If you are sick, please stay home, use proper hygiene, and let's keep up the great work!  Falcons are family and we take care of each other!  Thank you.

Remember, we are here to work together as a team.  If you need something, if you need clarification, or if you just need a place to find more resources, we are here to support our community of learners in all areas.  Have a great weekend and see you Monday Falcons!
