Hello Falcons!!
Our 33rd week of school was a short, but busy week. With the weather getting warmer this spring please remember that the playground and outdoor areas may be muddy and wet. We do our best to keep our students out of the wet/messy areas, but we do go outside unless it is actively raining in the spring. Please dress your Falcon accordingly. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
We finished up our second week of Wisconsin Forward testing this past week. Thank you to our families, students, and staff for working hard to get this important testing done successfully. Way to go Falcons!
Thank you to Sergeant Goetsch from the Fontana Police Department for spending time with our 6th graders talking about "Wise Choices". A program designed to talk to our middle schoolers about internet safety and making good choices.
We are getting close to the end of the Open Enrollment period for the 25/26 school year (April 30th). You can learn more about open enrollment HERE. Please reach out to Mrs. Schanau (wschanau@fontana.k12.wi.us) or Mr. Torrez (storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us) with any questions or to set up a tour.
We would like to welcome Lauren Miller to our Fontana team. She will be training and taking over for the retirement of Cathy Long at the end of this school year. She will be taking over IT and registrar duties along with other school support responsibilities. Welcome Lauren!
Our second graders are loving their weekly field trips this April to the Lake Geneva YMCA. They are learning about water safety and swimming. This grant funded activity has been something our students look forward to each year!! Thank you to the LG YMCA!
BONUS--We are excited to have our 8th graders attend the annual Washington DC trip this week with the other three Big Foot Area Schools. Enjoy and have fun!!
PTSO Spotlight--Huge thank you to our PTSO for sponsoring and supporting so many student activities and field trips this school year! Our PTSO and cultural arts committee are in our school weekly helping with programs, decorating, and fun activities for students. THANK YOU!!
Have a great Easter Weekend Falcons and see you Monday!
