Hello Falcons!!

Week 30 was our spring break 2025! We are hopeful that everyone was able to spend time with friends and family to recharge and prepare for a strong finish to our school year. Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. It's (slowly) getting warmer, which means it's the perfect weather to show off a fun, colorful T- shirt! Super Falcon shirts are still available for $18. Contact Mr. McCanna amccanna@fontana.k12.wi.us if you're interested in wearing a shirt of Fontana’s newest hero and supporting Film Club!

  2. We are excited to have our 7th graders attend the annual Lyric Opera in Chicago this coming Thursday, April 3rd. This exciting opportunity is a fun day spent with the other Big Foot area schools.

  3. Looking ahead, our students will be starting the Wisconsin Forward testing the week of April 8th. As you know, this statewide test measures student learning and growth, which impacts our DPI school report card. For more Forward information click the LINK HERE.

  4. The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) provides opportunities for families and students to explore a "school of choice". The open enrollment period goes through April 30th. For more information click HERE.

  5. Fontana is hiring! We are looking for excellent candidates in our Daycare (lead teacher) and an Technology Integration and Teacher Support Specialist. Please reach out to Steve Torrez at storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us. Both positions are full-time and include full benefits.

PTSO Spotlight--Don't miss your chance to partner with our school and other parents in Fontana at our next PTSO meeting on Wednesday April 2nd at 7pm. All meetings are guaranteed to last one hour or less. The work load is shared and the camaraderie is a great way to engage in your child's school.

Have a great rest of your weekend Falcons and we can't wait to see you all on Monday morning!!
