Hello Falcons!!

We have come to spring break in our 24/25 school year. Week 29 tried to bring some winter back with a little snow, but we also got to have the first day of spring this past week! The sun will be out longer and time to return outside!! Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Congratulations to our band students who took part in the Rock Valley Conference MIddle School Honors Band on March 11th and our Jazz Band attended the UW-Whitewater Jazz Festival this Friday. Great experiences and opportunities to play with other schools/conductors. Thank you to Ms. Jacoby for taking time to set up and coordinate the experiences for our band students.

  2. Thank you to Mr. Reckamp for working with our third grade the last two Friday mornings making maple syrup. This annual tradition includes students tapping, tracking, and boiling the sap to make their own syrup. And, what good is syrup without a pancake "eat-a-thon"!! Such an amazing opportunity for our students to learn about barometers, density, and real life science!

  3. We are hiring. We have a Technology Integration and Teacher Support Specialist position and a Early Childhood Teacher-Fontana Early Childhood Center Position in our two year old room. Please reach out to Steve Torrez (storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us) with interest or questions.

  4. SAVE THE DATE--Our Fourth Annual Walk for Wellness will be Friday, May 23rd, at Duck Pond. This is our early release day and festivities will be starting at 12:30p. More information to come, but save the date for this annual event to raise awareness and support for mental health!

  5. REMINDER--Our spring break starts today!! Our school offices will be closed during spring break (March 22nd-March 30th). We can't wait to see everyone rested, recharged, and ready to finish the school year strong on March 31st!! Have a great spring break. Please note, our daycare will be open as usual!

PTSO Spotlight--Our next PTSO meeting is scheduled for April 2nd at 7pm. See you there to help finish the school year and begin to talk about planning for next school year.

Have a great spring break and we can't wait to see you all back on March 31st.
