Hello Falcons!!
This week was an especially busy week with events, trips and assemblies. All of this is possible, along with active learning in each class, from collaborative efforts from our staff, students and parents. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
We were mesmerized and entertained by the spectacular Creative Action Arts Team Friday afternoon for an assembly. They showcased their incredible stunt and acrobatic skills while also delivering a powerful message about perseverance, hardwork and how being kind can be contagious. Our students got to meet and interact with professionals from movies such as The Dark Knight, Black Panther, and Superman to name a few. Thank you to Aaron and Monnya Crippen for bringing together a memorable show. It is obvious your work is a life passion and makes a difference in our world!
Thursday was a fabulous show of our talented students for our annual Fine Arts Night. Special thank you to Mr. Smith, Ms. Jacoby, Mr. McCanna and our Cultural Arts PTSO committee for putting together a wonderful show of our student talent.
The Super Falcon movie premiere is next week! Come and enjoy a one of a kind movie made by our talented students! Come to school to see the movie on Friday, March 14th at 7pm or Saturday, March 15th at 2pm. Admission is free and there will be delicious popcorn and some prizes given away. Super Falcon t-shirts will also be on sale at the premiere ($18/shirt with cash or check)! We can't wait to see you!
Please remember that our parking lot is a busy place, especially during the morning drop off and after school pick up. We need all families to be mindful of driving slow, watching for children, and using caution at all times. Additionally, as a safety reminder, all visitors need to sign in at the office when entering the building. Even if your stay is short and you attend our school frequently it is important and a safety measure that all visitors sign in every time they enter the school.
This Wednesday, March 12th, will be our third installment of "Let's Talk" with district administrator Steve Torrez. Stop on down to the Coffee Mill this Wednesday from 8:30a to 9:30a to discuss school financing, budgetary planning, and school funding overall. This is an open format so please stop by with any questions or need for clarification no matter how big or small it may seem. #unitedweSOAR
