Hello Falcons!!
Our week 26 was quite busy with community and educational activities. There wasn't one day that went by without a few parents giving their time, expertise, or donations in support of our students and school. Gratitude comes to mind, thank you, and we are fortunate to live, work, and partner in the Fontana Community. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
Thank you to our PTSO and parent volunteers for supporting our last week of Hot
Chocolate Friday's in February! The students LOVE the hot cocoa and having so many parents welcoming our students is wonderful at lunch time. Thank you to Pearce Farms for providing the hot chocolate!Huge thank you to our staff and students for another successful science fair!! We had amazing community partners showcasing their STEM related careers along with interactive activities for our visitors. The science fair projects get better each year and our parents, Big Foot High school students, and staff do an amazing job vetting and judging each project. #ittakesavillage
REMINDERS: This Friday, March 7th is an early release day for all students 4k-8th grade. We dismiss at 11:45a on Friday.
We are excited to have our annual Fine Arts Night this Thursday, March 6th from 5:30-7pm. There will be works of art on display and music being performed all evening along with tasty snacks, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle! Please have your student in the music wing 10 min. prior to their schedule performance--SCHEDULE HERE
If you haven't heard, our movie premiere of Super Falcon is coming up on March 12th and 13th!! In anticipation of this huge event we will be selling Super Falcon merch (shirts), which will support our film club and future productions!! If you prefer to secure your shirt ahead of time you can fill out a shirt order form HERE
Fontana is hiring due to two retirements. We are currently hiring for an IT support specialist and kindergarten teacher. If interested, please contact Steve Torrez (storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us) or log onto WECAN for more information.
PTSO Spotlight 1--WINTERFEST this SUNDAY!! Join our Falcon families on March 2nd from 12pm-4pm at Delavan Lanes. There will be bowling, food, raffles and fun!! LINK HERE for information
PTSO Spotlight 2--Next Thursday, March 6th is Fine Arts Night and the Cultural Arts Committee is seeking donations for the dessert and refreshments table. If you are able to contribute, please deliver your dessert to the school office any time before 3:30 on March 6th. In addition to sweet treats, we are also looking for volunteers to help.
