Hello Falcons!!

Our week 21 included our first "cold day" due to extreme cold temperatures on Tuesday. Thank you to all of our families for your flexibility and focus on safety this week to ensure all students and staff were kept safe during unstable weather conditions. Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Mark your calendars for the premiere of Super Falcon

, the high-flying adventure from Fontana Film Club! Join us for a Hollywood movie night with delicious popcorn, red carpet, and fun giveaways! The movie will play in the Fontana gym on March 14th at 7pm and

    March 15th at 2pm. Admission

is free, donations gratefully accepted. Lights, Camera, ACTION!

  2. Congratulations to 6th grade for all passing their certification testing for 3D Printing and Laser Cutting!! Our STEAM class not only teaches 21st Century skills, but provides students opportunities to walk away with tangible certificates of completion. Way to go.

  3. Great job to our middle school students for trying their best and completing the I-Ready winter benchmark testing this past week. We benchmark all students at least three times per year on reading and math to track progress, adjust teaching, and provide growth oriented learning for every student. Thank you to our teachers and students for working extra hard this past week.

  4. As a reminder, our students go outside for recess as long as the "feels like" temperature is 0 degrees or warmer. Please have your Falcon dressed and prepared for all types of weather and call our office with any questions.

  5. If you are free this Saturday, January 25th, our girls and boys basketball teams will be playing in the St. Andrews tournament. The boys team plays at 10am in the semi-finals and the girls team plays at 11am for the championship. Go Falcons!!

PTSO Spotlight--Teacher Appreciation week will be held February 10th – 14th.  This special week provides an opportunity for all of us to celebrate and spoil our amazing teachers and staff.  Whether you are a behind-the-scenes or on-the-scene person, there is something for you!  Please consider donating items for the Teacher Treat table (see sign up for more information) or contributing to the daily lunches.  There are also in-person opportunities to help celebrate such as decorating the teachers’ lounge and helping at recess.  Sign up today!  https://signup.com/go/YXZEfdV

Have an amazing weekend Falcons and see you Monday!
