Hello Falcons!!
Our 17th week brought Christmas and the last full week of 2024. The final days of each year can bring about reflection, future goals, and time to spend with family and friends. Fontana is committed to Every Student, Every Day, Whatever it takes, and that is our mission moving forward to our entire community!! Here are FIVE things to know this week:
We are committed to Excellence to Self, Others, and Community. Excellence is defined as the "quality of being outstanding or extremely good". Lets challenge each other to find and recognize "Excellence" in our entire community. When you find Excellence lets celebrate and recognize each other by completing the nomination form HERE. We also have the form available on our website HERE in the top banner.
Our focus on Wellness includes many different options. One option includes our Wellness Wednesday's, which are coordinated by our social worker, Ms. Christensen. A closer look at our Wednesday groups are HERE. You are welcome to join and connect at any time.
We are working with a Motion of Gratitude to provide a platform to practice intentional gratitude each day. We will provide a gratitude journal, exclusive access to the Motion of Gratitude app, and a gratitude package for those interested. You can email Steve Torrez at storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us
The Fifth Annual Walk for Wellness will be May 23rd, 2025!! We have been able to raise money each year, while tackling mental health awareness, to support "Bigger Than the Trail" and other local mental health agencies!! We will again have this event at Duck Pond during our early release day for all to join on May 23rd!! Mark you calendars and more to come!!
The school office will be open January 2nd and 3rd this coming week from 7:30a to 3p. Have a safe and fun New Year Falcons!! School and daycare will resume on January 6th.
PTSO Spotlight--Fontana has a strong and supportive PTSO that arranges fund raisers, supports our students, and school overall. Please consider joining our PTSO as "many hands make light work". You can email margaret@starboard-group.com with any questions or to join some activities in 2025!
