Hello Falcons!!
We completed week 15 and I believe we may have fit two weeks of learning and events into one week! Great job to our staff for taking all the extra hours to make sure this past week was planned and prepared for our students. Additionally, our parent volunteers have been so incredible. There are some that say "it takes a village" and then there are those that "Do" and our Fontana parents and community Do! Thank you and here are FIVE things to know this week:
Thank you to all 4k-8th grade students for performing and getting our school in the holiday spirit! So much fun watching our talented students perform.
We had the privilege to take two fifth and two sixth grade students to Gateway Tech to experience Science Immersion Day! So many opportunities to work with other schools, college professors, and college students in all things STEM.
Thanks to our amazing parents and families we raised over $2100 last night to go directly back toward our band and music needs. We cannot express the amount of gratitude we have and how amazing it is to work and learn in a giving community! THANK YOU!
The annual Crafty Critters extravaganza took place today. Our middle school students did great helping our elementary students complete their crafts. This is all possible because of our PTSO, teachers, and so much planning behind the scenes. Great job!
Thank you to the Lion's Club for volunteering today to provide much needed vision screening today. Thanks to our local Lion's Club our students receive free vision screening each year. Our health office led by Julie Lohse, our nurse, and Mallory Booth, our health aide, coordinated the entire event! Thank you.
BONUS--Our annual Christmas Sign-a-Long will be this Friday, December 20th at 1:15p. There will be more information for classroom parties etc. from class parents and staff this coming week.
BONUS 2--Don't miss our Winter Dress Up Days this coming week. Monday is Flannel Frenzy!! Wear your best Flannel on Monday!
PTSO Spotlight--Join us for our next Cultural Arts meeting on Wednesday, December 18th at 8:30am at school. We’ll be planning for upcoming events for the 2nd half of the year. Hope to see you there!
Have a great weekend Falcons and stay warm! See you Monday, in Flannel!
