Friday Falcon Five

Hello Falcons!!

Week 12 of the 24/25 school year brought our first encounter with snow!! As a reminder, all students need to have snow pants, jacket, hat and mittens/gloves to play on the playground. Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. In addition to wearing the proper warm winter weather clothing, we will have recess for all students if the "feels like" temperature is 0 degrees or above. We had a great day playing in the snow Thursday, however, students without a jacket, snow pants and boots will need to stay on the blacktop during recess to avoid being wet and cold the remainder of the school day. If you or your child need support with winter weather clothing, please reach out to our school social worker Ms. Christensen at nchristensen@fontana.k12.wi.us

  2. For all 6-8th grade families, our middle school report cards went out this week. If you didn't get your report card, or need another copy, please reach out to our office. Also not, you can access your student's report card through your Infinite Campus parent portal.

  3. We had a great first week of our "Hunt out Hunger" food drive and Penny War!! Our National Junior Honor Society and Student Council will continue our food and money collection this coming week. All food and money will go directly to local food pantries to support our local communities.

  4. This coming Friday, November 29th, the Village of Fontana will host the second annual lighting from 3-6pm at Porter Plaza, which is right outside the Coffee Mill. Don't miss the wagon rides, visit with Santa, and so much more!

  5. We are excited to be working with "The Motion of Gratitude" to build our entire community on building positive relationships with self and others! If you are interested in taking the 28 day gratitude journey please email Steve Torrez at storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us for more information! Together, we will be better for ourselves and our entire community through gratitude!

  6. PTSO Spotlight--Our annual Crafty Critters event will take place on Friday, December 13th.  We need 2 more volunteers to help from 9:15-11:15am on December 13th.  Please use this link https://signup.com/go/fZLTNad to sign up today!

  7. PTSO Spotlight 2--We will once again be selling poinsettias to decorate the stage for our upcoming winter concert on December 12th.  Forms were sent home to all families and posted to Class Dojo for middle school families.  All order forms are due Thursday, December 5th.

Have a great weekend and see you Monday. Don't forget, our school week is only Monday and Tuesday this week due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. No school November 27-29th. Thank you.
