100 years

Hello Falcons!!

We are officially into double digits with week 10 of the school year. We did some walking field trips in 4k/5k and many of our classes continue to take advantage of the wonderful fall weather we have had. Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. This Monday, November 11th, is our annual Veteran's Day assembly. We have a Veteran's lunch at 12:30p and our assembly will begin at 1:45p in the Fontana School gym. Our 5th grade students to a great job presenting to our Veteran's every year! See you there and all Veteran's are welcome to attend.

  2. The 6th graders had a wonderful experience at the American Players Theatre in Spring Green, WI. They watched Nat Turner and got to see an exceptional performance at a beautiful facility. Thank you PTSO and cultural arts committee.

  3. The Abbey Resort hosted the Centennial dinner last night (pictured) and it was a culmination of many events throughout this last year to celebrate 100 years of Fontana. Our school and community are a large part of the rich history here in Fontana. Decade themed outfits and music were met with friends, food, and celebration.

  4. Don't forget, your receipts from Sentry turn into money for the school. Get your stickers at Sentry and turn in your receipt to the Fontana School office.

  5. Our middle school students nominated for Hope Squad had the great experience of learning and growing in QPR training presented by Walworth County. Our peer supported mental health awareness strategies are embedded into our entire school and led by our Hope Squad advisors Ms. C and Ms. Jacoby. Great job!

  6. PTSO Spotlight--Our annual Crafty Critters event will take place on Friday, December 13th.  This is a fun opportunity for students in grades 4k-5th to make crafts for their loved ones.  We are looking for volunteers to help with Crafty Critters.  Please use this link https://signup.com/go/fZLTNad to sign up today!

  7. PTSO Spotlight2--We will once again be selling poinsettias to decorate the stage for our upcoming winter concert on December 12th.  Forms were sent home to all families and posted to Class Dojo for middle school families.  All order forms are due Thursday, December 5th.

Thank you Falcons and have a great weekend! See you Monday.
