Hello Falcons!!
Week 10 felt more like fall and closer to the start of the 24/25 school year!! We hope everyone is getting in their summer fun, relaxation, and recharge as we settle into the last few weeks of break. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
The Big Foot Recreation summer camp officially concluded this week. We are glad to partner with BF Recreation summer camp each summer as they use our facilities to conduct camp and navigate the local lakes area. Please note our carpets in middle school will be cleaned on Monday, August 19th.
I spy some filming and planning this week. Mr. McCanna is back at it with our film club, even ahead of the new school year. Between flying drones, dressing up, and on location filming we are off to another fun moving making year!!
Our safe and secure entrance project continues to move in the right direction. We are on schedule to have our project done before students start on September 3rd. There may be some detail work concluding the week of our open house, but we will keep everyone updated on any adjustments.
The following are important dates: August 27th from 5-6:30p is our 4k/5k meet/greet. August 29th from 5-6:30p is our 1-8th grade open house, meet the teacher, and supply drop off. September 3rd is our first day of school. Our doors open at 8am and our school hours are 8:15a to 3:30p.
Our fall sports season is right around the corner. Cross country schedule linked HERE. Flag Football schedule linked HERE. Girls Volleyball schedule linked HERE.
PTSO Spotlight--Thursday, August 29th is Fontana’s Back to School night! Drop off school supplies, visit with your teachers and then stop by Meggy Moo’s for dinner and ice cream! A portion of the sales will be donated to Fontana PTSO to support our events throughout the year! See you there!
You may be happy (whoo-hoo) or sad (boo-hoo), but either way, we invite you to join us for our annual Boo-Hoo / Whoo-Hoo event at the Coffee Mill after drop off on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 3rd.
Have a great weekend Falcons!!
