Hello Falcons!!
Week 3 of summer break has come and gone and we are thankful to have our power back up and running. As you know, we had many storms come through the area in the last week and our staff is working hard to get everything back up and running properly. Thank you for your patience as we correct and fix all the damage from the storm. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
Our power, wifi, and internet went down over this past weekend and it took until Tuesday to get the power running. We are still working on correcting all of our internet and phone systems as our phone operates through the wifi. Thank you for your patience.
Our first ever Ecology Club met this past week in partnership with many agencies including the Geneva Lakes Environmental Agency. Students worked with local environmentalist on a near shore fish survey. They worked on identifying and tracking the population and health of the fish in the shallow areas of the lake. Thank you to Mrs. Rabe and Mrs. Booth for coordinating and running this new and exciting club. More to come on this one!
Our summer office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8-3p. If you need assistance outside of those hours please contact Steve Torrez at storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us
This coming week, due to the holiday, there will be no Tuesday math/reading challenge or performance. Join us on July 9th for the next event, MAD SCIENCE, where there will fun activities and experiments. Anyone is welcome, event non-Fontana students as we enjoy creating and learning all summer!
Due to the Holiday our building will be closed July 4th and 5th. Enjoy the holiday week!!
BONUS--If you, or someone you know, is interested in open enrolling in Fontana, but they missed the window there is still a chance to enroll. Starting July 1st the window for "alternate open enrollment" begins. More information from DPI LINKED HERE.
Have a great week Falcons and be on the look out for more registration information coming soon.
