Hello Falcons!
Just seven days ago we had a few inches of snow and snowman making at our school playground! While I'm sure week 29 was filled with travel, family, and spring break vibes, we were also fortunate to see grass and other spring events while away! Here are FIVE things to know this week:
School resumes for everyone on Monday, April 1st. Welcome back and we look forward to finishing this last quarter of the school year strong! Regular attendance, ample sleep, and healthy meals all contribute to a successful school day! See you Monday Falcons!
Our spring sports season starts on April 22nd. Track and Field is for all 6-8th graders, both boys and girls, and there is an event for everyone interested! Come join Coach Blackman and Coach Dase for a fun season of track. Schedule linked HERE.
April is the last month for the school of choice, open enrollment period in Wisconsin. Please reach out to Mr. Steve Torrez (storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us) or Mrs. Wendy Schanau (wschanau@fontana.k12.wi.us) for more information or to schedule a tour.
Mark your calendars for our 3rd Annual Walk for Wellness on May 17th. This year we have adjusted the schedule and our walk will take place during the school day to include our entire school in this important event. Each year we raise money for a program called Bigger Than the Trail, which raises awareness and provides mental health support to those in need. Last year we raised $2500, which will support at least one person's journey for an entire year! Our 2024 goal is $3000 to exceed last years fundraising.
OTHER EVENTS UPCOMING--April 19/20th will be our presentation of Willy Wonka the musical. The performance is from 7-8p each night at Fontana School. Also, on April 22nd we will have the grand re-opening of the Roeker Arboretum from 4:30p to 5:30p to celebrate our Outdoor Education program along with all nice updates to the space. Lastly, in April we will return to participating in the Forensics competition. This will take place on April 27th at Big Foot High School.
