Hello Falcons!
We have officially entered November in week 9. We are finishing up the first quarter and heading into quarter 2 of the 23/24 school year!! Here are FIVE things to know this week:
- We had our first all school assembly of the school year on Halloween!! We had Comedy Sportz in to entertain and engage the students in fun team building. They were able to keep all 4k-8th grade students involved and enjoying the time together! Thank you Cultural Arts Committee for setting this event up for our school!
- We have seen great success with our in-school homework club on Tuesday and Wednesday each week. This time is during lunch/recess and provides time during the school day for students to make up and catch up on missing/late work. We provide extra attention and help for students during the school day to allow time for questions, teamwork, and work completion.
- We are excited to once again offer our Drone Club this school year. We have some exciting projects with drone club in partnership with the Geneva Lake Environmental Agency among others. We have also added a fun racing drone to the fleet! The dates for drone club are included HERE (subject to change depending on supervision). If you child(ren) are interested in joining Drone Club please complete the two question survey HERE. First class will be Friday November 10th from 3:30 to 4:30p in the gym. Drone club is for 5-8th grade and younger grades may be considered on case by case basis depending on the number of participants etc.
- The first day of boys basketball will be next Tuesday, November 7th from 3:30p to 4:45p. The coaches this year are Mr. Hoey and Mr. Schultz. First games will be the week of November 13th!
- Don't miss a chance to watch the last game for the Falcon Volleyball team this Saturday. They will be playing for the conference championship after winning their first round game against Walworth yesterday! First game will be at 8am at Big Foot High School against Sharon. Let's go Falcons!
Have a great weekend Falcons and enjoy your weekend!
