Hello Falcons!!
Week 8 is a signal we have already completed two months of our 23/24 school year already. We had a busy 5 day week squeezed into 4 days of school this week! Thank you to all the parents, staff, and students for preparing and having such great Halloween parties on Thursday! Here are FIVE things to know:
- We had a wonderful costume parade on Thursday with our 4k-5th grade students. It is so great to have our parents, grandparents, and family members back lining the hallways cheering on our Halloween Falcons!!
- Fall Fun Fest was a smashing success!! There is no place like Fontana School on Fall Fun Fest week!! Hundreds of people here to have fun, play games, and support our PTSO/School. There were more volunteers and hours spent than could possibly be tracked. THANK YOU Fontana PTSO, Fontana Community, and all who made this event a huge success!!
- If you interested in different Falcon gear for fall we have a quick store open through Monday. LINK HERE to see some different fall/winter options.
- Our Fontana Wellness Committee met this past Monday to review our wellness goals, initiatives, and policies. We have many initiatives for our staff, students, and community members including partnerships with CA Counseling, Irene Corzo and Associates, Fontana Family Chiropractic, and Thrive Wellness Coaching & Consulting LLC (natasha.schultz18@gmail.com) to name a few. Our school social worker, Ms. Christensen and our district nurse, Julie Lohse, help direct our wellness team!
- In looking ahead, next Friday, November 3rd is an early release day. All 4k-8th grade students are dismissed at 11:20am and our daycare will also close by 12pm that day for professional development.
Have a great weekend Falcons and get prepared for the incoming cold! Winter may be coming very soon.
