Hello Falcons!
Week 6 of our school year brought about our parent/teacher/student conferences to review student progress. Our mission "Every Student, Every Day, Whatever it Takes" drives our decisions to support the learning of everyone that walks through our doors each day. Our staff work and model that daily/hourly along with our engaged families and students. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
- If you haven't been able to connect with your child(rens) teacher for conferences please be sure to connect and get updated on progress and goals. We strive for 100% contact during this time to build our home/school connections.
- This week marks fire prevention week, which always results in a school visit from the Fontana Fire Department. Our local fire department is incredible and is able to teach and engage all kids from 3 years old to middle school.
- Fall Fun Fest is coming up!! Each class donates a themes basket for door prizes. Please check with your classrooms for any further needs to complete your grade/class basket donations. Don't miss Fall Fun Fest on October 26th at Fontana Elementary School. The locker rooms are transformed and our school becomes the center of all things fun for the Halloween season! That evening will also be our first middle school dance of the year immediately following the Fall Fun Fest!!
- Congratulations to our cross country team who finished their season this past Thursday. They brought a group to run in the final conference meet at UW-Whitewater. More to come, but such a great season filled with growth, learning, and fun.
- We were fortunate to have three basketball student athletes speak to our middle school students today to talk about getting involved, being a positive role model, and trying new activities during middle and high school. Our student activities available right now include Film Club, FLL Robotics, Volleyball, and Jazz Band. There are more groups and activites to come in the near future including Drone Club, Basketball, and Science Fair.
