Hello Falcons!!
Fall is in the air and leaves are beginning to turn colors!! Such a great time of year and we are well into our school year! Week five of school has us busy with learning inside and outside the classroom! Here are FIVE things to know this week:
- Thank you to our PTSO, staff, and all of our families for a successful Loved Ones Lunch (LOL). This event saw nearly 150 guests sharing lunch, crafts, and recess time with their loved ones. Thank you and we are grateful for such a great connection with our community.
- In case you haven't yet signed up for our annual PTSO golf outing there is still time to sign up for raffle prizes among other great activities. Dinner is always a success after a day of golfing at Country Club Estates. You can visit our PTSO website HERE and find them on Facebook @fontanaPTO.
- Our volleyball team had a very successful first game(s) on Thursday. Both A and B teams won and played well. We love the support and teamwork for all teammates. The gym was full and cheering was often!! Way to go Falcons.
- Looking ahead, if you haven't already, please contact your child(rens) teacher for conferences that start this Thursday, October 12th (4-8p) and continue on Friday the 13th from 12-4pm. We strive for 100% connection with every family during every conference session. We look forward to seeing/meeting with everyone.
- Be on the look out around the school on Main Street and Mill Street as there will be work done on the trail along Van Slyke Creek to help with erosion and clean up. There shouldn't be any additional traffic during our pick up/drop off times, but be aware of potential work around the school in the next few weeks.
- BONUS--We are heading into Fire Prevention Week and look forward to our annual fire safety with the Fontana FD on Friday! They are a wonderful partner of our school and community and not only teach our school about fire safety they also have fun and connect with all students. Along the lines of safety, we will also be connecting with our bus parnters (Dousman) for bus safety this coming week. Safety first Falcons!
Have a great weekend and as always please reach out with any questions. Enjoy the fall weather and hope to see many of you on Sunday for our golf outing!
