Hello Falcons!!
Week 1 of the 23/24 school year was a great success!! Our pick up/drop off line is in mid-season form and we are getting everyone through the lines in less than 10 minutes. For safety, please remember to exit/enter all vehicles on the passenger side during arrival and dismissal. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
- Get your smiles ready for PICTURE DAY this Monday, September 11th. Lifetouch will be here for all photos.
- As many know, the Walworth County Fair is a big event for 4H and other clubs in our area. If your Falcon won an award and/or took part in other Fair activities please share and we would like to celebrate all of the awesome achievements our students have experienced this summer! Send photos and a brief description to Mr. Torrez at storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us
- Pictured is our middle school health class that started this week. We are excited to extend our health class throughout the entire school year and not only support physical/mental health, but healthy habits overall!
- We are looking for interested parents/community members to join and help supervise our Drone Club this school year. We have a group of a few parents and we would like to expand our adult support to provide a year long opportunity to race, video, and create with our amazing fleet of drones. We will be looking to start near the end of September and our goal is to meet two Friday's a month from 3:45p to 4:45p. More details soon, but email Mr. Torrez at storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us if you are interested in being a part of the club. No drone flying experience necessary, just an interest in learning, having fun, and growing our drone opportunities at Fontana.
- On Tuesday, September 12 and Wednesday September 13 our 2-8th grade Falcons will be taking our Fall Benchmark Tests in Reading and Math through our IReady testing systems. This important Benchmarking helps guide our individualized learning for each student so best effort and a good nights rest will make a big difference!
Welcome back Falcons and welcome to Fontana for all of our newest Falcons this school year!! Great first week and we can't wait to show our Excellence to Self, Others, and Community everyday!!
