School update

Hello Falcons!!

We have officially hit 2 months of summer break (8 weeks) and we are in for some heat.  Stay cool and be safe these next few weeks!  Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Pictured is our school arboretum that sits in the middle of our upper elementary and middle school classes.  This beautiful outdoor space has long been a treasure and point of pride by many.  This picture represents a "before" picture as we are working this summer to restore the Roeker Arboretum plant life while also including some amazing outdoor learning space at our school.  More to come!
  2. This Monday, July 31st, our summer school "boot camp" will be starting.  We have 22 students signed up from kindergarten all the way up to 7th grade.  Ms. Fuentes, Ms. Ardito, Ms. Torres, and Mr. Hoey will be here from 9a to 12p working on preparing our Falcons for the 23/24 school year while including fun activities as well!  Summer school will be Monday through Friday from 9a-12p July 31st through August 11th here at Fontana.  Enter through the main doors and school supplies will be provided, just bring your smile and excitement for exploring and learning!
  3. If you haven't yet, please register your Falcon(s) as soon as possible. LINK to the registration page on our website is HERE.  We are working to finalize and prepare each classroom starting next week and your timely registration is so helpful!  Please reach out to Mrs. Long (clong@fontana.k12.wi.us) or Mrs. Ziganto (sziganto@fontana.k12.wi.us) if you have any questions.
  4. Don't miss out on the introduction discount at our new Falcon Spirit wear store.  We are partnering with BSN to provide an infinite amount of options for gear this school year.  You can customize and make your Falcon gear your very own!  LINK HERE.  Also, there is a "Falcon Apparel" tab on the Fontana website.  With our partnership, 10% of our sales come right back to our school to help with uniforms, warm ups,  student gear and more!
  5. For some local news, don't miss out on the Steak and Lobster Boil (Lions Club) on July 29th in Reid Park and the Rotary Corn and Brat Fest on August 5th across from Big Foot High School.  Both are wonderful fundraisers for local organizations (Rotary and Lion's Club) that are super generous to our communities!  The food is out-of-this-world too!

Have a great weekend Falcons and stay cool!
