School update

Hello Falcons!

Week 31 was our final week heading into our musical "The Wizard of Oz Jr." that was months of preparation and practice.  Watching parents, community, staff, and students pull together for this wonderful event was amazing.  Fontana is truly a community, not just a school.  Thank you and here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Our first track meet of the season will be this Tuesday at 3:45p.  Please note the location has changed to Delavan High School track.  See you there.
  2. Be aware, it is tick season and our students spend time in many of our wonderful outdoor spaces.  Please check you Falcon for ticks as we will do our best at school as well.  Our lawn care includes tick spraying during the spring and high tick season, but it is always good to check your child for ticks.
  3. This Wednesday, the 19th, we will have our Kringle fundraiser pick up for PTSO.  They will be distributed from the stage with help from our PTSO and National Junior Honor Society students.
  4. Our annual Falcons Fine Arts Night will be this Thursday, April 20th.  We can't wait to see you there.  Our students are able to show off their hard work and artistic side they embraced throughout the year.  Don't miss out on the Fine Arts Night.
  5. This Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is our yearly Wisconsin FORWARD testing.  Attendance, good rest, and a health breakfast make a big difference!  The FOWARD test helps our school report card, shows what our students have learned and helps show our areas of growth/improvement.  Students are far more than a test score, but we want to be on the same team to encourage students to do their very best!
  6. (BONUS) The open enrollment window will be closing at the end of the month.  If you are already an enrolled student at Fontana you do not have to apply again, but anyone considering attending Fontana, that is out of district, would be encouraged to apply.  We are happy to provide in school tours and information!

Have a great weekend Falcons.  See you Monday!
